Salone del Mobile 2018 - Hall 10 / Stand D03 E04
All public and gathering spaces have become central to our lives, increasingly becoming emotional extensions of our own homes. These places stand out for their versatility in being able to meet the needs of customers that wish to maintain their everyday habits also in the public domain.
For its new 2018 collections Metalmobil, a leading brand in the furnishing of indoor and outdoor public places since 1956, has chosen to collaborate with Andrea Anastasio, Philippe Nigro, Harri Koskinen and Marc Sadler, new interpreters of contemporary living.
The designers, each with their own original and unmistakeable style, have developed highly dynamic and extremely versatile products distinctive for their solid aesthetic identities: qualities that dominate today’s interiors.
The new products are presented in the architectural space designed by Gianni Maria Filindeu, which is tasked with showcasing them without impacting on their identity. The project, which reflects an analysis on the concept of space begun last year, involves a linear and ideally infinite succession of surfaces interrupted by slightly suspended sculpted bases. The Metalmobil seats, placed on the bases, are at just the right height for visitors who can examine all their details.
Together with Gianni Maria Filindeu, other names from the world of contemporary design also collaborate with Metalmobil: Leonardo Sonnoli and Irene Bacchi, for the new visual identity project, and Massimo Gardone with regards to photography. These important collaborations are confirmation of the company’s intention to continue with the evolutionary process it began in 2016.
