Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2019

Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair – a must-attend event for industry operators and enthusiasts – has taken place in Stockholm, Sweden from 5 to 9 February. Metalmobil was there with a wide selection of products, including the Hull chair designed by Finnish designer Harri Koskinen.

This is the first time that Metalmobil and Harri Koskinen join forces, and the result is the evolution of the traditional concept of “sturdy chair”. In fact, Hull combines solid and rigorous architecture, aesthetics and ergonomic design. Its essential and unique shapes give it a contemporary appearance, making it a versatile piece of furniture that fits in any setting, be it contract furnishings, the hospitality industry, educational spaces, collective spaces, and private residences.
Moreover, its minimal design and the use of wood – available in 6 variants – make Hull  especially perfect for the Scandinavian market.

As always, the Metalmobil stand has been fitted out by Gianni Filindeu: “The Metalmobil stand at the Stockholm trade fair is organised across three volumes with different sizes, which create an open yet intimate space. Its formal simplicity, white colour, and essential design are the distinctive features of all spaces designed for Metalmobil and express the company’s style and atmosphere."

In addition to Hull, the spotlight has been on the new Pillow chair designed by Andrea Anastasio, which features an ironic yet functional design; the metal Shade chair designed by Philippe Nigro, which features a play of light and shadows through its structure made of steel tubes and wires; and the Salinero table by Giulio lacchetti. But there will be more, including Cuba e Nassau by Marc Sadler, winner of the 2017 IF Design Award and the 2018 German Design Award; Myra by Emilio Nanni, winner of the 2017 Red Dot Design Award and the 2018 German Design Special Award, and Uni-KA winner of the 2014 HD Award and the 2018 German Design Award.
